One’s role identity is very important in an online environment. It enables one to project himself/herself in a virtual society.

The Japanese say you have three faces. The first face, you show to the world. The second face, you show to your close friends, and your family. The third face, you never show anyone. It is the truest reflection of who you are. This Japanese proverb really fits on the concept of one’s identity, Personally, my identity and personality varies from who I talk with or with the environment.
Same with my digital self, What I show in my social media is just a part of who I really am from the inside. My friends know that I am an outgoing and gullible person but when it comes to social media, I tend to become serious and careful.
