The Biological Self: #LoveisLove

SEXUAL SELF

It is known that “sex” refers to biological characteristics. While “gender” refers to the individual's and society's perceptions of sexuality and the malleable concepts of masculinity and femininity.

On one hand, Sexual Orientation is an inherent or immutable enduring emotional, romantic or sexual attraction to other people. On the other, Gender Identity is one's innermost concept of self as male, female, a blend of both or neither – how individuals perceive themselves and what they call themselves. Sexual orientation is about who you want to be with. Gender identity is about who you are.

Sexual orientation is about who you want to be with. Gender identity is about who you are.
“You can still like a boy even if you are one and be happy with it.”

STORY TIME

I was on grade 7 when I met this man and somehow, I feel this butterflies in my stomach flying aggressively. It felt weird before, because it is unusual for a guy to feel infatuated with another guy.

But as the days passed by, the feelings grow and it overwhelmed me, my confusion begone and I just woke up one day that I told myself that I really like this guy for whoever he is and whoever I was.

I realized that these feelings that I have is valid and normal because we all matters. That I can still like a guy even if I’m one.

SPOILER: I had a feelings for him for almost 5 years and he never knew it once, cause I’m afraid everything will change if he finds out.

SPOILER AGAIN: We never talk enough now, but he was the best thing that I wish I had because he brings out the best in me and made me feel human once in a while.
